Cherished by Belinda Boring

Cherished
by
Belinda Boring

Book Blurb:

For a moment, Darcy almost convinced herself the last twelve hours didn’t happen. As image after image hits her, the sinking realization of all she’s lost overwhelms her and all she can think of is to run. Run far away where her shame can’t find her, and most of all, where she’ll never have to see the look of blame in Mason’s eyes. Feeling like a complete failure, she scrambles to make plans. But the voice of her mate-to-be penetrates her frantic thoughts, asking for the chance to show her just how much she is loved.

It hurts Mason deeply to hear Darcy’s thoughts, knowing the events of the previous night have completely rattled her. Grieving over the death of his beloved sister Jasmine, Mason knows he has to act fast. Darcy is all he’s ever wanted and the idea of life without her is unacceptable. Armed with his unswerving love and wolfish charm, he sets out to remind Darcy just how valuable she is and why there is no one else for him but her.

Can Darcy let go of the shame of failure consuming her or will Mason convince her that after all is said and done, she truly is… Cherished?

Cherished . . what a word.
After reading this installment in the Mystic Wolves Series, I bet we will all be looking for a Mason for ourselves.
Crack open this book and discover what it's like to be loved, even when you feel like you don't deserve it. Feel what's like to feel like a failure, and be told you are anything but. For a moment, get lost in the words and be Darcy for just that moment when she realizes, that she is truly cherished.

Walk with Darcy and Mason as they find a way to work through the loss of Jasmine. It's not a simple case of dealing as humans would, they must also allow for their wolf side to deal as well. With each side having their own way, it makes for an intense rush of emotions.

Not to worry, sudden rush of heat, sweat on the brow, and the sudden urge to howl are normal at the end of this book.
(It's ok . . go ahead and let it out.)

Dark Corners

Dark Corners
by
Liz Schulte

2 Days . . . Heart Pounding . . . Noise Checking Madness
That ends with the chills . . . Yep, this about sums up my experience with this book.

Overview:
Ella Reynolds knew from the first moment she walked into the old house someone or something was watching her. Waiting. Her husband's violent murder sent her spiraling into a world of grief and isolation, but Ella isn't alone. Who or what is responsible for her husband's death is still with her. Darkness has engulfed the past year of Ella's life. Everyday reality slips a little more between her fingers as she struggles to break free from her memories. She must look deeper into her past as well as the present to discover truth of her husband's homicide. A string of uncanny events takes place and practical explanations run thin as Ella follows the terrifying road to closure. As the past and present come to a head, Ella must decipher who or what the murderer is before it takes her as well. -Pulled from Barnes and Noble

I honestly don't want to give anything about this book away. However, I do want to suggest that you pick up a copy and get started reading right away. Be prepared to be confused, never really knowing who done it. Take all noise making objects out of the hands of others, because at some point you will begin to feel a little jumpy. Heck, last night I couldn't even sleep with my foot hanging outside of the covers. I experienced moments of heart pounding anxiety that had me putting the book down for a moment. Only to pick it back up because I swear it was calling my name. Then to top it off, it had to go and end with CHILLS!!!

Very well written, bravo!!!

Carpe Bead'em

Carpe Bead'em
by
Tonya Kappes

I went to bed a little early last night, for the sole purpose of trying to get a little reading in. I hadn't really read all day long and was having a little withdrawal going on.

Armed with my Nook and good ole Nook light I set off to just read a little bit. I believe I was on Chapter Nine when I started reading last around 10pm . . and I was finished with the book around 2am.

Would you HONESTLY like to know the shape I was in when I finished the book?!?!
All I can say is, I'm glad I didn't wake anyone up . . but dang my eyes are sure puffy this morning!

What could I possibly be talking about . . . Well, to start with we have Hallie. She lost her parents when she was younger and ended up be raised by her Aunt Grace. Living in a less than stellar apartment building in Cincinnati, Hallie wasn't popular by any means. Getting away from there was at the top of her to do list. Fast forward to after college and you find Hallie living in Chicago with one of her Best Friends, Lucy. Working for Gucci, her dream job . . . Hallie is pretty content.

Then one day, everything changes. Piper shows up to spread the "good" news! (ha) Hallie is less than excited to be making the career changing step, but it's only 3 months . . right?

What could happen in 3 months?!?!?!

Hallie settles in to find her groove. She visits her "Crazy" Aunt Grace and Uncle Jimmy, and only reminds herself of why she wanted out so badly. Continuing to run, to train for a marathon, she can't help but think of how she misses Bo (the entire reason she started running in the first place). It's during a morning run she runs head first into the world of beading.

Hold on because things getting a little crazy here. Life starts to change for Hallie in ways she never thought would happen. By the end of the book, the Hallie you started with will no longer be there . . . and you're left holding the story of a changed young woman.

A fun read with great message.

Every moment counts and life is too short to hold a grudge.
Always remember, somethings aren't always what they seem.

So, my advice . . pick up your copy, a box of tissue and get ready for girlfriends, family, and a pink poodle.

The Ladybug Jinx

The Ladybug Jinx
by
Tonya Kappes

I love it when I pick up a book because of its cover and the story to follow is just as great or better. That's what happened here. I am a lover of Ladybugs (to the point I have two tattooed on my ankle and seriously need to consider getting the third one to represent my third daughter before she is grown).

Picking up The Ladybug Jinx this evening I began reading and quickly found myself sucked into this little town of Grandberry Falls, Kentucky. Where Celia and her father Marty live and run a florist shop out of Celia home.

After the death of her mother Celia decided to go after her dream, instead of living the dream of her overbearing mother. Following in the foot steps of her beloved grandfather, she jumps in and starts her own florist shop. Her father Marty runs her deliveries but having retired from his life of working is ready to actually be retired.

Sam lost his beautiful fiance Bianca to breast cancer and life in LA as a movie star just isn't cutting it anymore. Without Bianca, Sam finds living in their house, where she passed away is just to much, and one night Sam decides he must get away.

Who would have thought pulling in Grandberry Falls, Kentucky for some gas and a bite to eat would lead to a job delivering flowers for the local flower shop. Celia places the ad for a delivery boy by the forced hand of her father. Not happy about the decision, Celia thinks something isn't right about a grown man applying for a job of delivering flowers. Not happy one little bit about hiring Sam, Celia does it on a trial bases.

Now a few questions remain:

Will Sam open up and learn to love again?
Will Sam stumble on to a big family secret?

Those are just few to be answered.

Full of emotion, The Ladybug Jinx is a story of life after death. The ability of the human soul to heal and love again, and maybe even learn to forgive and trust.

A great book for a lazy Sunday afternoon, or a day cuddled on the couch with your favorite beverage. One thing is for sure, you don't want to pass this story up . . It's that good!
